In a report issued in the information program of the Angolan television TPA1, Euroeste and Santo António's farm have full featured, taking advantage of a visit to Quibala with the purpose of presenting the agro-industrial project.

 

Referring to 'Angola Investe' program, essential support to put this project into practive, the activities carried out at the farm are summarized and illustrated with images taken during the visit.

 

Noteworthy is the goal of "producing and commercializing agricultural and livestock varieties, thereby enhancing the diversification of the national economy". To this date, the project "already completed 30% of execution and will be 100% implemented the next year".

 

Abrahão Gourgel, Angolan Minister of Economy, interviewed by the media present in Santo António's farm, emphasized the importance of feed producton as "one of the aspects missing in the chain", considering its essential interconnection with the production of corn, and pointed the shortage of domestic production as a problem for which the agro-industrial project of Santo António's farm is the solution: "This project respondes to this demand".

 

Pedro Canga, Angolan Minister of Agriculture, characterized the production of Santo António's farm as "important and strategic for the country, for the industry and for other purposes", being confident about the future results of the projects implemented in Angola: "(...) which will meet the objectives that we advocate".

 

Fernando Teles, chairman of BIC, who in partnership with Europe implements Santo António's farm project, gave a general picture of the Angolan reality: "what we're showing is that it can be done. (...) The agro-industry is possible in the country".

 

In view of the difficulties related to the permanent guarantee of electricity in Santo António's farm, the Governor of Kwanza-Sul, Eusébio de Brito Teixeira, assured: "we are on track".
