Fernando Teles' interview with Rumo magazine
On the cover, in the foreground, Fernando Teles with informal clothing. In the background, the Angolan landscape of Quibala with an irrigation pivot performing its function. "Fernando Teles invests in agriculture". This is the motto for an interview that reveals "the green side of the banker", way in which is described his involvement in agrobussiness, with Euroeste's support through a strong partnership and sustainable society.
During a visit to Santo António's farm, "where, in partnership with Portuguese Euroeste, in a percentage of 50%, has an agro-industrial project of corn production, cornmeal, feed and pig production". Rumo magazine interviews Fernando Teles, presenting the reasons for his involvement: "I'm not in agriculture only for sport, I am because I think it is important for the country that there are serious farmers who know what they are doing, producing, and because I think the projects are able to be profitable. It is an economic activity that I do with pleasure".
Fernando Teles highlights the experience and knowledge of Euroeste in the implementation and management of agro-livestock projects to support his optimism regarding the project efficiency: "I have a strong project, with foreign investors, because in agriculture and livestock the know-how is necessary, and the best we can do is to partner with the one who knows how to do it. It is the basis to grow fast."
Describing the project and illustrating the article with photos taken in Santo António's farm, Rumo magazine asks Fernando Teles about the project's return, getting a straight answer: "In agriculture, profits are in the medium term, but I think in three to five years we'll have profit."
Among other questions to which he answers with pragmatism, Fernando Teles challenges other entreperneurs to invest in the sector for the benefit of their own country and respective economy: "It's the challenge I leave to Angolan entrepreneurs who have some money from other activities, to bet on agriculture and livestock, because we need to replace imports.", with Euroeste positioned as the ideal partner to develop economic, financial and technical feasibility studies, in the implementation of agro-industrial projects and in their management, with experience, knowledge, efficiency and results that prove their ability in various areas that make up the agrobusiness sector.
