Euroeste builds feed factory in Santo António's farm
The initiative of Euroeste, which holds one of the largest farms in Quibala, to reduce the products shortage in Angola does not go unnoticed to the newspaper Expansão, that prepared an article about the new feed factory of Santo António's farm.
Pedro Garcia de Matos explains the Angolan newspaper that one of the primary objectives of the factory, with an annual production capacity of 15.000 tons, is the maximization of the farm's agricultural production, livestock, and drying and storage of cereals.
At this stage, Euroeste is focused on "ongoing expansion of projects", having launched 14 economic feasibility studies for projects that are around 170 million USD, with some beginning in 2016.
The angolan newspaper also mentions some production forecasts of corn, cornmeal, feed, soybeans, wheat and barley for 2016. According to Pedro Garcia de Matos, these projects require an investment of 30 million USD by the end of 2016, from which more than half has already been invested.
The manager also mentions some concerns about the lack of skilled labor and the fuel price, and shows that there are expectations regarding the creation of agricultural diesel.
